My formative years were spent as a farm kid in north-central Indiana. A graduate of Ball State University, Muncie, Indiana, I have a degree in elementary education.

I moved to California in 1976 and spent my working life as a travel consultant. Music, quilting, and writing keep me active.

My first book, “Hoosier Daughter,” was published in September 2021—a mostly humorous memoir told in short story form. My second book, “Cat-astrophic: A Highly Varnished Truth about Cats” was published in 2022. Both are available on Amazon. This poem is included in “Catastrophic.”
