Rand Williams started writing poetry in his early twenties, studied classical guitar, and became a master woodworker and house builder. A lifelong boatsman, he grew up in a beach house in Southern California, making his way north to rural Oregon then to the Olympic Peninsula, where he now lives with his wife and an English Shepherd. He makes his own wine and beer and writes poetry using nature-based metaphors to reveal the human condition.
