About

An actor, poet, and screenwriter, Gerald Berns' film acting credits include BEVERLY HILLS COP, THE NET, and ERASER. Originally from Newton, MA, in 1970 Mr. Berns was the first St. Louis poet invited to read his poetry over the air on the NPR station KDNA. A resident actor for five years with the The Boston Repertory Theatre, Mr. Berns starred in, among twenty other stage productions, the World Premieres of Kurt Vonnegut's PLAYER PIANO and Harry Nilsson's THE POINT.  In 2015 and 2016, four of his screenplays, some co-written, won over a dozen Film Festival Honors, including two years in a row Silver Awards at the Oregon International Film Awards. 


His first novel, Thank You, Mr. Emerson, was published on Amazon and Kindle in April 2022.
