Erma Wilson Olsen
Profile
About
Raised with the childhood freedom of a small Minnesota town, Erma created imaginary stories in the prairie and fields that marked her boundaries. She began writing tales and poems in elementary school.
She earned a BS degree in Social Studies and English from the University of Minnesota at Mankato. Teaching filled most of her working career, which included Montessori elementary, public high school, and in a community college English learning center. She also managed an historic mansion, and was part of a storytelling group.
Afforded the opportunity to travel in other countries and to live in England for three years, she draws on their cultures for color and flavor, especially in plays and stories for younger folks. Now retired, she and her husband live in Menifee, California, where she enjoys travel, reading, genealogy, and writing with the Interrobang Writers group.
