About
Brenda DeLuna is a retired Middle School science teacher, wife, mother of three, and proud grandmother of two identical twin girls. She has a menagerie of animals on their farm, including a tortoise sanctuary and a one-winged pigeon named GOP (he only has a right wing).
Though she has been working on her mystic realism adult novel for the past fifteen years, she now has more time to spend on writing. She is a member of Michelle Bassett's writer's group and Jim Hitt's writer's group for her children's wilderness survival books, which were inspired by the nine years she was a member of the Riverside County Search Dog Team and the six years she was a member of the Riverside Mountain Rescue Unit.
She has been collecting inspirational writing for the past eighteen years that she’s been writing as part of Camps Farthest Out experiences, as well as from her own daily journaling. She plans to publish some of this work on the Camps Farthest Out website and in their heart prints quarterly publications, as well as on her own future website.
